BHA RULES & REGULATIONS (REVISED APRIL 2023) – POOL
No lifeguards are on duty. Swim at your own risk. Never swim alone. All swimmers agree to absolve BHA of any claims for negligence and/or damage in the event of accidental death or injury.
Children under the age of 14 must not use the pool without adult (18 years and over) in attendance.
Failure to follow pool regulations can revoke your pool privileges
Pool hours are 9 AM to 9:30 PM daily. After hours use is not permitted unless by special arrangement. Equipment for the ping pong table (paddles, balls) are stored in the bottom utility drawer at the pavilion.
NO glass containers are allowed in the pool or on the pool deck. Glass containers must be used only within the pavilion area.
Bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc. must be left outside the pool gates.
The following are not permitted in the pool or on the pool deck: DIVING, RUNNING, SPTTING CHEWING GUM, HARD TOYS OR BALLS, RADIOS (WITHOUT EARPHONES), PETS, IN-LINE SKATES.
Use common sense and consideration for others in play activities when using large, oversized inflatables during busy pool periods. Remember, loud voices carry.
Minnesota State Pool Regulations require designated and approved swim attire when in the pool.
Children who are not potty-trained must wear pool swim diapers to be allowed in the pool.
Shower before entering the pool.
A key is required to enter or exit the pool. KEEP THE GATE CLOSED. DO NOT LEND YOUR KEY TO, OR OPEN THE GATE UNLESS IT IS FOR YOUR GUEST(S).
NO SMOKING IN THE POOL AREA, PAVILION, SPORT COURT, TOT LOT or immediately outside the gates.
RECREATION: POOL RULES
About the Rules – These rules are also in your Homeowners Rules and Regulations as well as posted in the pool area by both gates. They were written to conform to state requirements. They were also written to allow all homeowners enjoyment of the pool. It is your responsibility to read and follow these rules. Please go over them with the members of your household.
Pool Safety - When using the pool, it is very important to be aware of where your children are and what they are doing at all times. They cannot be in the pool area if you are not there also. This is the area inside the pool gate. PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHILDREN CAREFULLY, NONSWIMMERS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE DEEP END OF THE POOL EVEN WITH FLOAT AIDS. THEY SHOULD BE WITHN ARMS REACH AT ALL TIMES. FLOATIES, ARM FLOATS, AND NOODLES ARE NOT LIFE PRESERVERS.
Help us with Problem Behavior – If you see any behavior problems or a flagrant disregard for the rules, call a member of the pool committee as soon as possible, or speak to the violators yourself and then report it to the committee. It is easier to handle problems if they are addressed at the time of the incident rather than at a later time.
REPEATED DISREGARD FOR THE RULES COULD RESULT IN THE POOL KEY BEING TAKEN AWAY FOR A FEW WEEKS OR THE REST OF THE SUMMER.
Pool Guests – The guests of residents using the pool also need to follow the pool rules. The residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests.
BE CONSIDERATE AT THE POOL – We have a beautiful pool so it is not surprising that so many people like to use it. If we are considerate of our neighbors, then everyone will be able to have a great time. Remember that loud voices carry outside. During busy pool usage, large inflatables and floats may not be good to use. Jumping in the pool near other people is neither a good idea or safe. Water activities that disrupt other swimmers are both rude and inappropriate. At crowded times, such as weekends or hot days, consideration for others is paramount.
