Overall Process
ACC Overall Process
- The ACC consists of volunteer members who must be approved by the Board. One member acts as Chair to run meetings. Each of the members is assigned to a number of Birnamwood units as the contact for the homeowner. A Board member is assigned to be the ACC Liaison, who attends meetings and provides reports to the Board, writes reports for The Winds newsletter, and presents to the Board any applications from homeowners that require Board approval.
- The ACC meets 10-12 months per year typically at a member's home. At these meetings, homeowner applications are discussed and processed (the full application process can be viewed here). Ideas for improvements or additions to the standards are also discussed.
- Once a year members inspect their assigned units for discrepancies to standards. Letters are filled out and given to any non-compliant units with a deadline to do the work needed. After that date, units are re-inspected and any necessary follow-up steps are discussed and passed on to the Board for action. The letters used can be found at the "Discrepancy Letters" link, here.
